“A women’s group held protests throughout the Pittsburgh area on Monday to draw attention to recent actions by Congress and the Trump administration it considers “oppressive” and acted on “recklessly.”

The Pennsylvania chapter of Women’s March said it held the demonstrations — at the offices of Rep. Tim Murphy, Rep. Glenn Thompson and Rep. Keith Rothfus and the Williamsport Social Security office — to encourage others “to unite and raise their voices against any federal, state or local policies and legislation that rolls back, cuts or restricts women’s rights,” according to a statement released by the group.”
