“Another protest occurred in Titusville on Thursday, with constituents from both sides of the political spectrum — those who support the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, gathered on the corner of West Spring and Washington streets — while those opposed to the repeal of the ACA — from the organization, “MoveOn,” met with Peter Winkler, Congressman Glenn Thompson’s district director, in Thompson’s Titusville office.
Thos in support of the repeal, led by Martha Breene, of Oil City, carried signs and chanted, “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Obamacare must go.”
“It’s time to start pushing back,” Breene said. “And support what the representatives and Congress and President Trump are trying to do. You have to study what’s going on.”
The opposition, a group of 12 from the MoveOn and Planned Parenthood Action Fund organizations, presented their views to Winkler concerning the repeal of the Affordable Care Act and replacing it with the American Health Care Act.
The local MoveOn organization is led by Daniel Doubet, of North East.”
